Missy Alexander, Ph.D.
My career in higher education started as a teaching fellow in NYU's Media Ecology program, where I had the great pleasure of learning from great faculty focused on exploring ideas with their students and imagining how new technologies were reshaping our world. As I progressed as a teacher, I marveled at the talents and expectations that each student brings to their education, and the importance of creating spaces for those talents to grow. I moved to academic leadership because I hoped to create those spaces, spaces all students deserve. I still care about those spaces because It's not just good for the individual...it's good for the country.
